The Studio

The goodbody Pilates Experience

Located in Westport, Massachusetts, goodbody Pilates offers a quiet, welcoming studio where personalized instruction remains the priority.

Clients train on state-of-the-art Gratz equipment, the industry standard for classical Pilates education and practice. Sessions are offered privately, as duets, trios, or in small groups of up to five participants, allowing every client to receive meaningful attention and guidance.

Whether you are new to Pilates, returning after time away, recovering strength and mobility, or seeking to deepen an established practice, Christine meets you where you are and helps you move toward your goals safely and effectively.

Christine teaches classical Romana’s Pilates to clients throughout Westport, Dartmouth, New Bedford, Fall River, Bristol County, and the South Coast of Massachusetts who are seeking authentic instruction rooted in the original teachings of Joseph Pilates.

A Personal, Attentive Approach to Pilates

Christine believes Pilates works best when the teacher sees the whole person. Before creating a plan, she listens. She wants to understand your goals, your history, your ailments, your strengths, and the way your body moves. From there, she builds sessions that meet you where you are.

Some clients come to Pilates for strength. Some want better posture, more mobility, improved alignment, or a calmer way to move. Others want a consistent practice that supports long-term wellness. Each session gives you a clear path forward without pressure or comparison.

A Direct Connection to the Romana’s Pilates Tradition

Christine’s training is rooted in one of the most respected lineages in the Pilates world.

Romana Kryzanowska was personally chosen by Joseph Pilates to carry on his work and preserve the integrity of the original method. Throughout her life, Romana carefully trained and mentored a select group of instructors entrusted with passing these teachings to future generations.

Christine was fortunate to study directly under Romana and received her certification and validation before Romana’s passing. This rare experience provided not only technical mastery of the classical method but also a deep understanding of the principles that define authentic Pilates: centering, concentration, precision, flow, and breath.

Today, Christine continues to teach these principles exactly as they were intended, honoring a tradition that remains recognized worldwide as the purest expression of Joseph Pilates’ work.

Romana’s Pilates Certified

Christine is a Romana’s Pilates certified instructor, certified in 2003. Her training connects her work to the classical Pilates lineage of Joseph Pilates and Romana Kryzanowska.
